Age-Friendly Volunteer Opportunities

Are you interested in an impactful volunteer opportunity? One that is meaningful and chock full of purpose?

 

We are seeking engaged and passionate Age-Friendly volunteers to get involved now!

 

We plan to hold an initial meeting of interested Steering Committee Members in September.

 

All Age-Friendly volunteers will have the opportunity to help with the first Age-Friendly Community Summit to be held in early 2017.    

 

We need YOUR help and participation and hope to hear from you soon!

 

Three Age-Friendly volunteer opportunities are available. We hope one of them will match your interests, availability and areas of experience!  Information, training, guidance and resources will be provided to all Age-Friendly volunteers.

 

The Age-Friendly volunteer positions include:

 

Steering Committee Members

Steering Committee Members will include leaders and representatives from the nine Sonoma County cities. The Steering Committee will establish guiding principles and processes to oversee the first two planning years of the Age-Friendly Sonoma County community initiative.

City Task Force Members

These individuals will include those who live within the city limits as well as residents who live in the surrounding unincorporated area identified with that city. They will encourage and support the Age-Friendly Community process in their own cities.
