World Health Organization Age Friendly Site

As part of the World Health Organization’s Age-Friendly Cities project, the Checklist of Essential Features of Age-friendly Cities was developed to provide communities with a starting point to evaluate their own community and identify key areas of focus when developing an age-friendly place.

AARP's Livability Index 

The AARP Public Policy Institute created a Livability Index to measure quality of life in the following areas: housing, transportation, neighborhood characteristics, environment, health, opportunity, and civic and social interaction. This website allows you to compare communities, adjust scores, and learn how to take action in your community.
